What we need to know during the MCO 3.0
Due to the increasing COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, the government decided to narrow the regulations in various parts of the country, such as Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. Both cities will be placed under a new movement control order (MCO 3.0) starting May 7 to 20, 2021.
During this period, residents are only allowed to go out to buy daily necessities, medical-related services, and public service work. Gatherings including weddings, reunions, and the likes are prohibited.
There will be strict restrictions on businesses which are as follows:
Grocery stores and shops that sell essential products are allowed to operate between 6 am and 10 pm
Operations of Gas Stations are allowed between 6 AM and 10 PM
Dine-in's are strictly prohibited
Daily and night markets can operate from 6 AM onwards
Please be advised that work from home directives will be announced in the coming days.
As Hari Raya Aidilfitri starts, there are guidelines set to maintain social distancing while we celebrate this festival. Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the practice of hosting open houses during the festivity is not allowed in all areas.
